Massage Helps Chronic Headaches
Orthopedic/Medical Massage can help ease chronic headaches by releasing tension in the neck, back and shoulders. This relieves pressure on nerves, intervertebral discs and blood vessels. This results in improving circulation and soothing irritated nerve tissue, which in turn, leads directly to pain relief. Although massage may not put an end to a migraine that is in process, it can help to ease the discomfort of an active migraine cycle. Regular massage between episodes can be very effective in reducing the frequency and the severity of Migraine headaches.
Clinical studies have shown Orthopedic/Medical Massage to be an effective treatment modality for those who suffer from Cervical Neuralgia or Cervicogenic Headaches.
